Record replenishment for UN agriculture fund
At a time of economic crisis and strained aid budgets, the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD), which provides support to smallholder farmers, recorded its highest-ever replenishment this week. Many Western donors announced increases, and low-income countries almost doubled their support.
