Crossroads: Norfund’s value now equals an entire aid budget
Norfund, with profits that have nearly kept pace with the oil fund, now has a total value that roughly equals an entire Norwegian aid budget. Last year, 8 per cent of Norwegian ODA was earmarked as capital for Norfund. Should the fund be considered as aid or is it merely an alternative vehicle for investing the country’s oil fortune?
