Jakob Granit’s sudden exit from Sida fuels political storm over Swedish aid, unions call for calm

In a surprise move, Jakob Granit, head of Sweden’s aid agency Sida, has stepped down. Disagreement with the board and discontent among staff had weakened Granit’s position, but his resignation still came as a shocker as Sida struggles to implement massive changes in Swedish aid.
