Sweden drops Uganda forest carbon deal with Green Resources due to unresolved land disputes

After four years in limbo, the Swedish Energy Agency is terminating its agreement with the Norwegian forestry company Green Resources for the purchase of carbon credits from the Kachung pine plantation in Uganda, citing unresolved disputes with local people over land use, an agency spokesperson confirms to Development Today.
