February 04, 2025

Following the Center Party’s exit from the coalition government of PM Jonas Gahr Støre, the MP Åsmund Aukrust has been appointed new Minister for International Development in the minority government. He will be the first Labour politician to hold the aid portfolio since 2001. Effecting social change is at the heart of his party’s development policy, he says.
