Danish early record-high pledge for World Bank’s IDA

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen broke all the rules when she announced a 40 per cent increase in Denmark’s next contribution to the World Bank’s IDA this week, months ahead of the outcome of replenishment negotiations. World Bank leadership applauded her “bold” move.
