World Bank’s IDA replenishment ran into headwinds before the finish line

Nordic funding for the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA) shrinks in USD despite increased support from Denmark, Norway, and Iceland. Sweden, the largest Nordic donor, and Finland roll back their support. The Bank portrays the USD 100 billion IDA21 replenishment as record-breaking, but the reality is a reduction in real terms.
