German NGO urges European donors to follow Canada and freeze activity in Beijing-based infrastructure bank

European donors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank should engage more actively to improve bank performance or freeze all activity, as Canada has done, the German NGO Urgewald says. An international NGO coalition and donors are monitoring the situation closely. Norway wants an external review of the bank’s accountability and compliance framework.
