The minister who put peasants at the centre of Norwegian aid

Against all odds, small-scale farming in Africa has become a key priority of Norwegian aid, and Development Minister Anne Beathe Tvinnereim has NOK 4 billion on hand to back her new strategy on food security. While the war in Ukraine has pushed the issue to the top of the global agenda, the minister says in an interview with Development Today that the focus on agriculture was long overdue.
