Ukraine package reshapes Norwegian aid. Sweden will no longer be the largest Nordic donor

A massive aid package for Ukraine announced Monday will reshape Norwegian aid. Civilian support for Ukraine, amounting to roughly EUR 3.4 billion over five years, is deeply rooted in European security interests. With broad political backing, it will be untouchable in the budget. It also means that Norway bypasses Sweden for the first time, with the largest Nordic aid budget. (Updated)
