Supports education in Pakistan

Denmark has committed to provide DKK 60 million in support for a UNICEF education programme for children in the tribal areas of northwestern Pakistan, a Taliban stronghold. The five-year UNICEF programme will have a special focus on girls and aims to provide education for 1.2 million children by 2017.
