Development aid for rich-country businesses

Governments in the north increasingly seek to create synergies between development assistance and private business investments. The Nordic countries may have been slow at jumping on this bandwagon but they are now catching up. We have been supporting developing countries for years, so the argument goes, now it is time to reap some benefits for our own private sector.
