The competition for Swedish relief funds

The Swedish aid agency Sida nears the end of a long selection process based on revamped rules for the funding of humanitarian NGOs. It has established one set of criteria to analyse all organisations, including foreign actors like Norwegian Red Cross and Oxfam, which have in recent years captured a growing share of Swedish funding.
