Tore Godal on the elusive malaria vaccine

The Norwegian veteran of global health policy, the doctor and government advisor Tore Godal, reflects on the promise and possible pitfalls of using a so-called AMC approach to trigger the development of a vaccine for malaria.

Without competition among firms, he says, an AMC will not work.
