US researcher warns Nordics against giving aid to Pakistan border areas

American researcher Andrew Wilder warns against expansion of Nordic aid into the border areas of Pakistan.

Wilder heads a Nordic-financed research project in Afghanistan and Pakistan which questions the assumption that development assistance in the form of roads, schools and infrastructure is an effective counter-insurgency tool that promotes stabilisation efforts.
