Swedish interests take centre stage in new government’s aid budget

The new Conservative-led Swedish government places the foreign policy and security interests of Sweden at the heart of its aid priorities and promises stricter conditionality. UN agencies will receive less core funding. This could have a serious impact since Sweden is a top provider of core support to seven UN agencies.
