Swedish aid freeze paves way for Norway to grab position as largest Nordic donor

With aid spending locked at SEK 56 billion annually for the next three years, Sweden may be about to lose its position as the top Nordic donor. The Swedish and Norwegian economies are now neck and neck. Depending on the outcome of budget negotiations in Oslo, Norway could end up as a larger donor than Sweden next year.
