Report challenges ‘false narrative’ of covid vaccine hesitancy in low-income countries

Claims by donors and big pharma that low COVID-19 vaccine coverage in countries like DRC, Haiti, Nigeria, Senegal, and Somalia is due to vaccine hesitancy are overly simplistic, a new study argues. This “false narrative” ignores a range of systemic issues that continue to block access to covid tools in many lower-income countries, the report shows.
