Three days in Oslo: Norway walks diplomatic tightrope with the Taliban

The first talks with the Taliban to be held in a Western country marked a high-risk diplomatic feat for the Norwegian government. Hailed as a success by some, the meeting was also criticised for lending the Taliban legitimacy, not least by politicians in neighbouring Denmark. An ex-Afghan minister says the Western envoys should have pushed the Taliban harder. Read this special report on the meeting.
