Global health agencies ask G20 countries for USD 23b to curb covid pandemic

The ACT-A covid response mechanism has launched a fund-raising target of USD 23.4 billion to help developing countries worst hit by the pandemic. On the eve of the G20 summit in Rome, global health agencies urged donors to finance all covid tools, including tests and treatments. Sweden has already committed SEK 2.1 billion for vaccines for next year. [Updated]
