Nordic DFIs step up investments as pandemic takes its toll

Business December 01, 2020 / By: Bjørn H Amland

Four Nordic development finance institutions (DFIs) have committed almost a quarter billion euros in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The most recent of these is a commitment to join a European loan scheme that gives bridge funding to help firms in developing countries avoid an economic meltdown. The DFIs themselves are also taking a hit, but only Swedfund has written down the value of its portfolio.
