As humanitarian assistance becomes increasingly politicised, Sida works actively to shelter its emergency aid from the influence of politicians and the interests of Swedish NGOs. Jan Egeland at Norwegian Refugee Council says “I commend Sweden for [this]. Norway and other donors should do the same.”
