Indian drug firm says Gavi lost ‘years’ in race against pneumonia

The rules donors set back in 2009 for a USD 1.5 billion pilot fund on pneumonia vaccine, the AMC, have been skewed in favour of big pharma, delaying the fight against the disease by years, the head of the Serum Institute of India says. Development Today is told that donors are now discussing “adjustments” in the rules for the fund.
