Five ‘new’ humanitarian actors vie for lucrative Sida partnership

Of the 30 humanitarian actors that applied to become eligible for Sida’s SEK 4 billion multi-year funding pot, only five have made it through the first round of scrutiny: Mercy Corps, Danish Refugee Council, Première Urgence, UNFPA and CARE. The Swedish aid agency is now vetting all the organisations in its portfolio, along with the five potential “new” ones, to determine which will be strategic partners from 2021.
