Veterans of Norwegian oil fund to review Brazil’s Tropical Forest Forever fund

May 20, 2026 / By: Bjørn H Amland

The Norwegian Parliament has been asked to authorise a NOK 30 billion subsidised loan to Brazil’s Tropical Forest Forever Facility (TFFF). Norway co-chairs the proposed fund and is so far its largest donor. TFFF intends to invest USD 125 billion in fixed-income assets mainly in emerging markets. Two pioneers of the oil fund have been engaged to review TFFF.
