A scrutiny of Sweden’s logic for defunding UNRWA

Since the sudden termination of its support to UNRWA last December, the Swedish government has re-directed SEK 300 million to other UN agencies and the Red Cross, implying that they can carry out its work. Critics say this undermines UNRWA’s primary mandate, which is children’s education.
