Swedish government pledges further aid cuts in coming years

News September 18, 2024

The Swedish government announces cuts in official development assistance in the coming years. Starting in 2026, the aid budget will be reduced to SEK 53 billion from the current level of SEK 56 billion. The announcement comes only days after Benjamin Dousa (32) took over the aid portfolio in a government reshuffle.
