Sida is flooded with applications for civil society funding

In its first-ever open global call for proposals for civil society funding, Sida has received 2,728 expressions of interest from organisations around the world hoping to be selected for multi-year agreements. Sida proposes earmarking about one-third of the funding volume for Swedish organisations and 10-15% as direct grants to groups in the Global South.
