Top donor Norway slashes support to the global health facility GFF

Norway, a key donor in global health, has made a significant policy shift, cutting NOK 775 million in funding for the Global Financing Facility (GFF), an initiative it has championed along with the Gates Foundation for the past eight years. The move was precipitated by budget constraints following reallocation of aid for Gaza and Ukrainian refugees. Funds will not be re-channelled to other global health actors, the Foreign Ministry says.
