Swedish crack in bedrock of Nordic support to UN agency on sexual health

Changing political winds in Sweden, traditionally a global leader in sexual and reproductive health and rights, have led to reduced core funding for the UN population fund, UNFPA. Finland is about to follow suit. Swedish and Finnish MPs attending a global gathering of parliamentarians in Oslo this week say cuts by their governments will have far-reaching impacts on the agency’s normative work.
