Global aid grows driven by wars and crisis. Funding for Ukraine propels Norway to top spot

Ukraine and humanitarian aid boosted global official development assistance (ODA) last year, the OECD reports. Norway has the world’s highest aid level, and Denmark and Sweden are in the prestigious club of five donors providing more than 0.7 per cent of GNI as aid. There are no hints yet that the new rules for reporting private sector aid inflates ODA.
