Donor mechanism could facilitate back channel for Palestinian-Israeli talks

As war in Gaza rages and the humanitarian crisis grows, diplomats are trying to figure out how to facilitate direct talks between Israel and Palestinians. Norway chairs the donors’ committee for Palestinians (AHLC) and is exploring what role it could play. The forum could be used to set up back channels, Jan Egeland, a former peace broker and head of NRC, says to Development Today.
