US and Norway put up USD 70m for first loss mechanism targeting African agri-SMEs

Head of USAID Samantha Power and Norway’s Development Minister Anne Beathe Tvinnereim have launched a new fund that will ease risk for investment in agriculture in poor countries. The United States and Norway have each committed USD 35 million for the fund and are inviting other donors to join.
