Foreign ministry foresees backlog in Danish aid

News June 07, 2023 / By: Bjørn H Amland

After weeks of silence, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has acknowledged that it might well face a “backlog” in aid financing in the coming years because the economy has grown faster than anticipated. Development Today has earlier reported that Danish aid budgets have been underfinanced by billions of crowns over the last two years and that the aid level could fall below 0.7 per cent of GNI aid for the first time in four decades.
