Growing criticism of multi-billion crown hole in Danish aid funding

The Foreign Ministry in Copenhagen is so far silent about a massive and growing funding gap in Danish aid, reported last week by Development Today, but former Development Minister Christian Friis Bach says the findings are “worrying.” The latest Gross National Income (GNI) figures for 2022 have been revised upwards and Danish aid could fall below the 0.7 per cent of GNI benchmark for aid when final figures are reported to the OECD later this year.
