DKK 3.5 billion backlog in Danish aid may take years to close

For the first time in four decades, Denmark could fall short of the UN’s 0.7 per cent of GNI aid target unless the government speeds up new commitments. Too little aid was allocated for 2021 and 2022 and the funding gap is now almost DKK 3.5 billion.
