Finland explores new engagement with Eritrea on rule of law

Pekka Haavisto says he is aware of the risks of engaging with a totalitarian regime. He insists, however, that continued isolation of Asmara offers little hope for influencing change. The refugee crisis was the trigger that led to Finland's unique approach in Eritrea, he tells Development Today.
