Ad hoc changes in Nordic aid

This fall a large number of development organisations have lost funding on short notice in an ad hoc, almost arbitrary process as aid has been cut back in Finland and Denmark. In Norway, the government proposed to roll back two-thirds of long-term NGO aid overnight. But the move was turned around following an intense lobby campaign.  We might see more cuts in Sweden in the spring, though possibly on a less drastic scale.
