Denmark’s new anti-piracy strategy calls for a whole-of-government approach, including aid, military and political interventions. Jesper Jørgensen of MSF argues that the Somali population’s primary needs are not jails or Danish gunships, as the new strategy promises, but humanitarian aid, food and medicine.
