UN immunity plea hampers Swedish police probe into Volvo

A Swedish prosecutor criticises the UN for refusing to lift immunity for a former top UN legal official, the Swede Hans Corell. It has been cumbersome for Swedish police to get access to UN documents.

Police questioning of another UN official, whose immunity was lifted, led to the extension of charges against two Volvo employees accused of paying bribes to the Saddam Hussein regime.
