Private sector development: two simple guidelines

Private sector development - especially the creation of new business firms - is widely held to be a panacea for the ills of a cranky global economy. From creating jobs in debt-burdened Western economies to adapting to climate change in Africa, entrepreneurship is, in the words of The Economist, “an idea whose time has come”.
