Karuma sold to Uganda, dispute over tax payment

The Norwegian-owned company NORPAK Ltd, which held the rights to develop the Karuma hydropower project on the Nile River, has sold the project to Ministry of Energy in Uganda. The rights have not yet been transferred to Ugandan authorities due to a dispute over taxes related to the sale.
