GAVI is still short USD 2.6 billion after fund-raising meeting

No new pledges of support were announced at the GAVI high-level fund-raising meeting in The Hague this month. The vaccine alliance therefore remains short USD 2.6 billion, most of which is for the purchase of pneumococcal vaccine as part of the Advance Market Commitment (AMC).
