Finnish committee splits over climate additionality

Finnish climate aid promised in the Copenhagen Accord should come on top of the country’s planned aid increases towards 0.7 per cent of GNI by 2015. This is the recommendation of the majority of members of the multi-party Development Policy Committee in a recent statement to the Finnish government.

But key members, including the Chair Nina Suomalainen and business representatives, do not endorse the statement.
