Global Fund to restrict mandate to three diseases

In a tight financial situation, the Global Fund has decided not to expand its mandate beyond the three diseases - AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.

Sweden, which held back its pledge to the Global Fund earlier this year due to concerns about corruption, will announce its level of support in January.
