Tanzania repays NOK 12m, triggering new talks about future funding

After much delay, Tanzania has repaid the equivalent of NOK 12 million to Norway following revelations of embezzlement and irregularities in the Natural Resources Ministry. The payment has opened up for new discussions about possible future funding. But first the Ministry’s financial management has to be improved.
