Norconsult chooses to stand trial, aims to clear its name

The leading Norwegian consultancy firm Norconsult refuses to accept a NOK 4 million fine for corruption related to a World Bank-funded water project in Tanzania.

As a result, the economic crime unit of the Norwegian police will take the consultancy company to court together with three former employees who faces charges of serious corruption for having bribed Tanzanian officials.
