Tanzanian contractors begrudge tied Danida road project

Local Tanzanian contractors feel they are bypassed in aid-financed infrastructure projects as donors give contracts to their own national firms. Engineering companies in Dar es Salaam, Iringa and Morogoro had hoped to be hired as sub-contractors in the latest Danida-financed TANZAM Highway project.
