Diakonia punctures 1% aid balloon

Swedish foreign aid once again reaches 1 per cent of GNI this year. But Sweden’s development assistance is being “hollowed out” because debt relief, tied aid and refugee reception in Sweden are among the costs that are eating into the aid budget, the Swedish church group Diakonia claims.
