A Turkish UNDP chief. Kofi Annan breaks donor monopoly

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan’s appointment of the Turkish MP Kemal Dervis to the position of Administrator of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) has cracked the donors’ monopoly over this key UN aid post.
